‘Words in Porcelain’

Inspiring and positive words spoken by Dumbledore in the movie Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. ‘Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light’ – this Dumbledore quote immortalised forever in Porcelain makes wonderful Harry Potter Gifts.

Materials – Porcelain Clay

Process –

Orla O rolls raw porcelain to create the tile. She then hand imprints each letter into the clay, which is first fired to bisque. She applies underglaze and then firest the piece to 1290 degrees celsius, making it solid to withstand all elements. The art tile is then mounted onto a white wooden frame (10cm x 15cm approx), with any inscription you would like written under the tile (or left blank).

*Orla O Visual Arts cusom makes each piece, so the image is a representation of the finished piece.

A beautiful gift to myself. A contemporary piece of ceramic art set in a contemporary white frame. It has pride of place inside my front door, i love it!
