These beautiful circle earrings have been handcrafted using select pieces of Irish Bog Oak, which is between 4,000- 6,000 years old, and finished with sterling silver to produce a wonderful set of earrings.
***About the earrings***
Material: Irish Bog Oak 5000-6000 years old. Sterling silver fittings.
Colour: Black, silver.
Made in Ireland.
The detailed grain patterns famous in this wood are even better in person, and the tactile feel from a wooden accessory is hard to put into words.
The earrings are finished with sterling silver components. This fine detail craftsmanship makes this set stand out.
***Irish Bog Oak***
During hundreds and thousands of years, because of minerals and iron from the water. The rotting of oak timber is slower. A special role is played by the underground waters in the creation and darkening the wood.
Over thousands of years, the wood turns from golden brown to black, so this makes it very hard and means it needs to be worked with sharp tools.
Due to all of this no two trunks can be found of the same colour.
