Line Drawing – ‘May you always have a shell in your pocket’

Description

This is a continuous line drawing, inspired by the shell sculpture in Dunlaoghaire. When my children were young they loved to climb inside and imagine all kinds of adventures. So I thought ‘Acting the maggot’… was a very  suitable Irish colloquial saying to add a little fun to this design. Or’ the quote ‘May you always ha a shell in your pocket and sand between your toes’ Makes a fun and unique piece of  wall art, for the young and young at heart.

The design process is ‘take a line for a walk’, which is drawing the image in a continuous line. All these images are hand drawn by me and Giclee printed on a high quality archival paper. My frames are all hand made in white wood, by The Boat Yard Gallery in Greystones.
