Description

Famous for so many things it’s hard to know where to start. The flora and the landscape of the Burren bring people to visit from all round the world. The trad music scene attracts visitors who sometimes never leave. The inventor of the submarine was from Co Clare as was Brian Boru. A lesser known fascinating fact though is that County Clare hosts the oldest known evidence of human activity in Ireland. The patella of a bear, which was subject to butchering close to the time of death, was found in the Alice and Gwendoline Cave, near Edenvale House, Clarecastle. Whether you’re from Clare or a visitor, this A3 word art print is full of all the reasons there are to love Co Clare.

It is sold rolled in a tube and will fit into many commercially available frames. There’s a note in with it as to what Ikea frame it fits.

About Cuando Creator

Founded by Susan Brambell in 2013, the brand grew from the original slang map of Ireland, ‘The Manky Map’, to include a range of Irish posters celebrating Irish cities, counties and pastimes. Literature, Irish culture and vernacular language feature strongly in all The Word Bird’s pieces, connecting Susan’s time as a secondary level English teacher with her love of design.

The Word Bird is a member of DCCI Design & Crafts Council Ireland.
