Textile Brooches

Each brooch is a handstitched mini landscape. The background is a sky photo printed on cotton and stretched over wadding on a card backing. The brooch has a fastener on the back which allows you to attach it to clothing, bags, hats etc. The brooches are stitched with colourful french knots and straight stitches in a free hand style. Every brooch is a unique miniature art piece.

About me

love working as an artist. I create ceramics and textiles in my studio overlooking the green pastures of the Royal County close to the heritage town of Trim. My work is inspired by the meadows, canals, bogs, gardens and historical heritage of Ireland’s Ancient East.I am a graduate of the National College of art and Design Dublin. I make art that is joyful colourful and positive and I hope to spread some of my love for our beautiful precious natural world through my art.
