Founder of Little Star Illustrations, Stella Kearns has been an illustrator for over thirty years, starting her career in some of Ireland’s well-known animation studios – Brown Bag Films, Emerald City Productions, Sullivan Bluth, Murakami Wolfe, and Caboom Animation. She was trained in the art of animation, character design, and all aspects of bringing animated characters to life.

The artistic skills she learned in animation led naturally into the world of children’s illustration.  She has collaborated with many authors in developing illustrations for children’s books, and children’s education.

Stella’s hand-drawn illustrations come in a variety of ranges for all occasions. Using her skills as an established artist and her love of character design, she formed a company where all the aspects of her work have come together creating something very special.

Her work is handmade to order and her designs are both unique and imaginative – perfect for little ones to treasure, making them an original new baby, Christening, or child’s birthday gift.
